Newport Petsmart is the worst with Customer Service. Ask questions they walk right past you. Then on top of that the lady Nancy who checked us out so rude. She asked for our pet perks gave her the information then asked if i wanted a receipt I said yes she literally snapped with attitude no do you want a email receipt or printed receipt i said an email she was so busy talking to other employees she didnt even know i was waiting on her after i made our payment of 110.00 plus. We will NEVER go back to newport petsmart. We will continue going to Florence as we have been for over a year where we spend over 100 a month plus grooming plus petcare for our dog not once have they ever treated us poorly. Yes its the same company but i refuse to be treated and talked to like garbage. If you hate your job that much find something else. On top of that she was cussing too and we had our 5 kids with us. Yes they have heard it before but I mean come on you are paid to do your job by people like us who shop here for our furbabies.
BEWARE! Before taking your pet here, snap some photos. They don't comb, they don't bother taking any mats out. Some of them do, this last time! Wow, charged me 55 for a shave. Rip off! I could have shaved my dog myself. 3 hours to bath, shave my dog??? Never again! Beware!!
Not happy with the service we got here. Got a hamster almost 2 weeks ago and found him not barely breathing and limp. Called and was told to bring him right in that he's covered under their 2 week warranty and they can have him looked at. I was told when I bought him that they have a vet onsite and would have him checked if needed. Got him there was told he wasn't breathing by a employee not vet. Was told to take him to the back to vet. Vet wouldn't see him pushed us to the side. Told me to look for someone in blue. Well employees there were not good at all. I needed help as I know temp change can make them hibernate and I have a dying or hibernating hamster I need looked at. 10 minutes trying to find help I go back to front and go off on employees who seen us but wouldn't answer the page. They said something wasn't right and would need the vet to check him but the vet was gone. Well if they had answered the page or helped when we got there he could had been seen. The more I think about it the more I get upset. They took him to back and said vet would check him in the morning. I should have kept him to see if he was hibernating but I thought he had passed. Still not sure really. Bad service, don't go by their word or warranty and I will be speaking to someone at this lady cation first thing in the morning. Not wet tail, was fine 2 hours before and I raised hammies for many years since I was a kid. Never before have I seen this.
Awful customer service. I walked right up to a lady and said "excuse me I have a question" because I couldn't find an item in stock and didn't know if they had it elsewhere... her response was "if it's quick I have to go" I wish I got the name of the young gentleman with longer brown hair who helped me because it looked like he was walking out with a lunch box and he stopped no problem and showed me where what I was looking for was. I live in the middle of Newport and western hills petsmart and I'll now always go to western hills because of the lady who made it seem like I didn't matter.
Dream House had rescued him from a high kill shelter. It was clear from the folks we talked to with Dream House that they had spent a lot of time with our dog and new him quite well. We found him on their Petfinder page and went to see him at their weekend event at the Eastgate Petsmart. The nice thing about adopting at this location is that you can take your adoption paperwork across the street to Jungle Jim's and get a bunch of free stuff for your dog. Whenever my family is ready to adopt a 2nd dog we'll come back to Dream House Rescue.
I had a great experience adopting my dog from Dream House Rescue (at this PetSmart almost every weekend). They allow you to bring the dog home for a week before committing to adopt so that you can make sure things will work with the dog in your household. This was very important as my daughter was 8 months old at the time. The test period allowed us to better assess our dog's temperament. We had nothing to worry about. I don't think we could have found a better suited dog for our family. We've now had him for 4 months and we all love him. My daughter is crazy about him.
