Hawaii 5-0 burger just melts in your mouth and is packed with flavor! My husband doesn't care for pineapple, so he gets the Pride of Zeus and loves it. The beer battered onion rings are very good, too.
The staff were friendly, and the food, while limited, was at worst decent. Honestly, I'd prefer limited selection. I'm not a choice-maker myself. The air conditioning in there was roughly competent, however, and the food preparation time was longer than ideal. This place did appeal to my liking towards quiet/calm places, though. Overall, this place is looking at an A. Should've told them we aren't returning tomorrow, because we live out of state from there, and according to their door signs, they think we'll come back tomorrow.
We stopped in for lunch this past week. The food was good and I could definitely tell the burger wasn't a frozen hamburger patty. However, I was a little surprised that the restaurant had obviously not been cleaned from the night before. In my experience, most restaurants clean thoroughly before closing so they are ready to go the next day. We arrived just after they opened, and the staff was sweeping and mopping the floors. The trash can was full and the tables had not been wiped off from the previous night. It wasn't that I felt the place was dirty, I was just surprised as this seems less than ideal for a restaurant. My husband was a little disappointed in the size of the burger. On the plus side, we were greeted promptly and the ordering process was explained to us in a very friendly manner.
Illiteracy is a huge problem in Cincinnati. Adding Mad Mikes to the list of places never to order from again (why is this so difficult for half of the food service businesses in the area?). Ordered from Mad Mike's 3 times and received an incorrect order 2 out of the 3 times. Twice I was missing a full burger, sauce was wrong on one as well. Very frustrating paying for food delivery and not receiving what was asked for/paid for. What am I gonna do, walk it back down there? i only have one lunch per day. It's not like the uber eats app is that confusing, it's not exactly handwritten and it always displays what was inputted from the customer end. That being said onion rings were good, I would consider going in person if I'm in the area and can simply ask for something to be fixed on the spot.
Awesome burger! The fries were a bit on the salty side, but the mushroom burger was fantastic. Very reasonably priced and the service was fast and friendly. It is as if Mike wasn't really mad at all. ;-)
